Industry Story

Cawi is the southernmost village along the Hualien County coast bordered by the Pacific in the east and the coastal mountain range in the west. Located at the border of Hualien County and Taitung County, the village is adjacent to the Siouguluan River estuary and the harbor, offering the unique estuary fishing culture. Visitors can not only experience the thrill of catching Hippa ovalis but also learn the traditional fishing technique of the Amis people and cast net, allowing visitors to experience the Pacific and the Amis people's warm hospitality.

(Public transport)

Southbound: Various starting/destination stations>Hualien Station>transfer to Hualien Bus or Dingdong Bus>Cawi (about 2 hours)
Northbound: Various starting/destination stations>Hualien Station>transfer to Hualien Bus or Dingdong Bus>Cawi (about 3.5 hours)

(Driving)

Southbound: At the 69k mark of Provincial Highway No. 11, turn left at the south bank of Changhong Bridge into Cawi and reach the Sun Square by the estuary
Northbound: At the 71k mark of Provincial Highway No. 11, turn right at the Tropic of Cancer into Cawi and reach the Sun Square by the estuary
